SABR-Québec est le chapitre québécois de la Society for American Baseball Research. Le chapitre a été fondé en avril 2005 par Daniel Papillon et Bill Young. Le chapitre compte aujourd’hui près de 30 membres dispersés à travers la province de Québec et qui font de l’histoire du baseball au Québec leur champ de compétence. Nous comptons dans nos rangs des spécialistes du baseball au 19e siècle, des chercheurs dédiés à la Ligue provinciale, aux Royaux, aux Expos et à leur réseau de filiales ainsi que des universitaires qui étudient le baseball dans la literature. Le chapitre tient quatre rencontres par année où les membres discutent de baseball, échangent sur l’histoire et rencontrent des figures du monde du baseball québécois.
SABR-Québec is the Québec-based Chapter of the Society for American Baseball Research. The chapter was founded in April of 2005 by Daniel Papillon and Bill Young. Today, the chapter has more than 30 members accross the Province of Québec dedicated to the study of the history of baseball in Québec. We have people specializing in the history of baseball in the 19th Century, specialists of the Provincial League, the Royals, the Expos and their farm clubs as well as scholars who study baseball in literature. The chapter meets four times a year. The meetings allow members to talk about baseball, share research and discuss with guests from the Québec baseball scene.

The Society for American Baseball Research was born in Cooperstown in 1971. Founded by baseball historians and statisticians, the organization now has close to 7,000 members throughout North America and the world.
